Overview

Working Hours: This role is full time (38 hours p/w) with potential for overtime, and 29 days holiday per year, inclusive of 8 statutory holidays.

Essential Criteria:

Carrying out work on customer equipment on-site and in house. Setting a good example for Apprentices and offering advice, guidance, and assistance, when necessary. Ensuring the company is successful in gaining and maintaining Investors in People, ISO 45001, 9001 and 14001, and any other desired accreditations, by contributing to the company culture of continuous improvement and working together as a team.

Desired Criteria:

Have a good working knowledge of mechanical drive assemblies, and a basic knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, mechanical design principles and techniques.

Experience & Skills:

  • The successful applicant is expected to be time-served or qualified in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline.
  • Experience / qualified in the use of calibrated measuring equipment such as micrometres, vernier callipers etc.
  • Previous experience welding or qualified.
  • It would be advantageous to have a good working knowledge of mechanical drive assemblies, and a basic knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, mechanical design principles and techniques.
  • Applicants must be flexible to work outside of “normal working hours” if required and have the availability to travel to work at client locations.
  • Previous experience working in busy workshop environment.
