A recent quote from a 5th Year PPM Apprentice
“Like a lot of people, when I was 17 and making the choice of what career path to go down, I didn’t have much of a clue! When it came down to the choice of University or another route I found that I could get much the same level of qualification whilst also earning some money by doing an apprenticeship. After some research on the NRC website I applied for a PLA (Programme Led Apprenticeship) in Engineering, this path meant I would be training at the tech whilst applying for workplaces to take me on as an apprentice. Thankfully a position came up in GES Group after about a year into the course, I applied for it and got one of the eight available positions at the time. I was now gaining a Level 3 & Level 4 qualification alongside getting invaluable on site experience. The rest as they say is history and I’ve now been at GES Group for over 8 years and still learning every day!”
“Being back with GES feels like being back at home again. With a new job role as a PPM Engineer working alongside Martin & Mark, I have discovered a new enjoyment for my work as well as having great “craic” with the lads. I’m glad I made the choice to re-join the company and look forward to seeing how far I can progress in this new role.”
