GES Group were awarded the project to upgrade the customer’s existing 25 year old switchboard that controls 3 x 300kW Water Turbines. Our team at GES Automation replaced the customers original unit with a new and more modern Up To Date switchboard and controls including PLC, HMI and remote monitoring. In today’s climate, and in particular this type of industry where the stations are remotely situated and unmanned, remote monitoring is critical to their machines to maintain control and functionality at all times. This helps efficiency and being able to react faster if there are any machine issues. The work was completed within the planned time scale of 2 months to build the panels and 5-7 days for installation.
